TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston has declared for the 2023 NFL draft.

Johnston hauls in deep balls with ease with a 6-4, 210-pound frame. For his size, he’s extremely fast; Johnston runs a 40-yard dash in just 4.4 seconds.

Size, speed and athleticism make Johnston one of the top WR prospects in the NFL draft along with USC’s Jordan Addison and Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigma. He’s projected to be TCU’s highest pick since the Philadelphia Eagles selected WR Jalen Reagor with the 21st pick in 2020.

Johnston finished his collegiate career with nine 100-yard receiving games, more than double any other player on TCU’s active roster; he tallied 2190 yards on 115 receptions in three seasons.

Johnston, the first 1000-yard receiver since Reagor in 2016, averaged a whopping 19 yards per catch in his career; the only active receiver in 2022 to average more is Oklahoma’s Marvin Mims.

Johnston served as one of TCU’s team captains along with linebacker Dee Winters, offensive lineman Steve Avila and defensive lineman Dylan Horton. His elite play earned him All-Big 12 First-Team honors in 2021 and 2022.

In his final collegiate game, Johnston tallied 3 yards on one reception while being targeted only three times.

“Things weren’t always the easiest,” wrote Johnston. “But I feel like they have fully prepared me for this next step in my career.”

Now, Johnston, one of the most successful receivers in TCU’s history, has his sights on the NFL.
